Baissangour 'Baki' Chamsoudinov has signed an exclusive, multi-fight deal with the PFL.
The Frenchman is set to compete across the PFL, PFL Europe and the Bellator Champions Series events, with his next bout not yet confirmed by the promotion.
The 22-year-old made his promotional debut earlier this year when he took on the French superstar, Cedric Doumbe at PFL Europe 1.
Although the ending of the contest was marred in controversy, after a shard of glass lodged in Doumbe's foot led to the former World Champion Kickboxer being unable to continue, 'Baki' had given a great account of himself against a man who up until that point had ended every MMA bout he'd competed in before the third round.
Following the announcements, 'Baki' expressed his delight at signing with the promotion and had a stern message for future opponents. He said:
“I'm very happy to have signed with PFL as they are growing more and more just like myself as a developing fighter, so it's perfect. The goal for my career has remained the same since the beginning, to become the best fighter on the planet. I'm here to clean out the division.”
The Frenchman started his professional career in 2019 and after amassing a perfect 3-0-0 record on the domestic scene, he signed with Ares in 2022.
In his four fights with the promotion, 'Baki' beat Mickael Marie Sardi in his promotional debut before going on to hand both Bobby Pallett and Alexander Mikael the first losses of their professional career. In his fourth and final bout, Chamsoudinov clinched his first main event spot when he faced the massively more experienced, and 12 fight UFC veteran, Efrain Escudero. Escudero was undoubtedly Chamsoudinov's biggest challenge at that stage in his career but the Frenchman cruised to a second round stoppage win.
Now, after his win over Doumbe, at 8-0 'Baki' is quickly establishing himself as young prospect for fight fans to keep their eye on moving forward.
