Christian Leroy Duncan will face now face Gregory Rodrigues at UFC 304.
The former Cage Warriors Middleweight Champion was originally set to meet Robert Bryczek at the Co-op Live Arena but Bryczek has been forced to withdraw from the contest.
The 28-year-old will now square off against the Brazilian, Gregory Rodrigues on July 27.
Rodrigues takes the short notice call up on the back of some impressive form, having went 4-1 in his last five bouts.
The eight fight UFC veteran joined the promotion in 2021, beating Duško Todorović via a unanimous decision in his promotional debut.
He then rounded out his first calendar year with the UFC by defeated Jun Yong Park in October, then competing at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational 1.
Having fought four times and winning all four contests in 2021, 2022 did not get off to the best of starts for Rodrigues. In a razor close bout against Armen Petrosyan, the judges were left split but it was Petrosyan who had his hand raised.
Undeterred, 'Robocop' was back in action four months later and got himself back in the win column in emphatic style with a first round stoppage win against Julian Marquez.
His striking acumen was on display once more at UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs Song when he handed Chidi Njokuani his first loss since 2019 with a second round, ground and pound win.
In an all-Brazilian affair, Rodrigues met Brunno Ferreira at UFC 283. Unfortunately for 'Robocop', Ferreira derailed his winning streak with a first round knock out.
However, Rodrigues in back building a winning run, with victories over Denis Tiuliulin and Brad Tavares.
The contest will mark Duncan's fifth with the promotion, currently holding a 3-1 promotional record. Duncan also faced, and beat, Todorović in his promotional debut but was handed his first ever professional loss just three months later when Armen Petrosyan by way of unanimous decision.
Since the loss, 'CLD' has competed twice and claimed another two impressive stoppage wins against Denis Tiuliulin and Claudio Ribeiro.
