All athletes, that took to the scale, successfully made weight ahead of PFL's final Playoff card at PFL 9.

For the final round of Playoffs, the PFL have headed to Washington DC, with the Featherweight and Welterweight athletes being the final two weight classes looking to secure their spots in the 2024 PFL Global Championship.

In the main event of the evening, 2022 PFL Global champion Brendan Loughnane will be hoping he can secure his place in his second championship final in the space of three years. Looking to stop that from happening will be Kai Kamaka III, who wants to punch his ticket to the PFL Championship in his first season with the promotion. Loughnane made light work of Pedro Carvalho in the opening round of the Regular season before opening a cut on Justin Gonzales’ head which was so severe, that the cage side doctor stopped the contest after assessing the injury. Kamaka III earned his place in the Playoffs with unanimous decisions against Bubba Jenkins and Pedro Carvalho.

The co-main event will see the unbeaten Magomed Umalatov take on the seasoned Neiman Gracie. Umalatov was originally set to face Don Madge but the South African had to pull out of the bout due to injury. After finishing 5th in the rankings after the two Regular Season bouts, Graice will step up to take Madge’s place in the playoffs.

On the other side of the Featherweight bracket, Gabriel Braga enters his second consecutive PFL Playoffs, having made it all the way to the final last year. The Brazilian may have to dig deep to secure his place in the Championship final as he faces unbeaten Russian Timur Khizriev tomorrow night (August 23).

Opening the main card, will be the first of the Welterweight Playoffs, in which Shamil Musaev and Murad Ramazanov will fight it out in an all Russian affair. The bout will the pair face off for the second time in a number of weeks, having fought each other in the second round of the regular season back in June. Musaev took the win when the two first met by way of a second round stoppage and will be looking to do the same in his quest to the final in his maiden PFL season.

The early card will see several faces who competed in the season but did not proceed to the Playoffs, compete, with the likes of Luca Poclit, Tyler Diamond and Enrique Barzola all set to compete.

The bout that has been removed was the Welterweight showcase bout between Eric Alequin and Luca Poclit, due to Alequin not taking to the scales at all.
