Sara Collins cemented herself as the number one contender at Featherweight, with a first round submission win against Leah McCourt at Bellator Champion Series: London.

The card, that was initially set to see the Belaltor Middleweight title fight on the line, threw up plenty of big wins but none bigger than in the main event.

After dropping McCourt with a stiff strike, Collins could see the end was near and pounced. The Australian quickly locked up a rear naked choke and forced McCourt to tap. The win is the biggest in her career thus far.

Simeon Powell was pushed all the way as he got himself back to winning ways with a split decision victory against Rafael Xavier in the co-main event. 'Smooth' had to call upon all of the experience he had garnered in his fist 10 bouts and rallied late after being hurt early in the contest.

As expected, Luke Trainer vs. Laurynas Urbonavicius did not make it out of the first round with 'The Gent' handing Urbonavicius only the second loss of his career. Trainer sunk in a deep rear naked choke to get the tap from Urbonavicius with only 45 seconds left on the clock in the first round.

The all English affair between veterans Marc Diakese and Tim Wilde certainly delivered, with 'Bonecrusher' picking up his first win under the PFL/Bellator banner by way of unanimous decision.

Archie Colgan handed Manoel Sousa his first defeat as the American extended his perfect record to 11-0. Mike Shipman added another win to his streak, in front of a home crowd, with a second round stoppage against Eslam Abdul Baset.

On short notice, Joseph Luciano picked up a victory with a second round submission win against Steven Hill.

The highly touted Irish duo of Ciaran Clarke and Darragh Kelly both kept their unbeaten records in tact with unanimous decision wins.
