Liverpool's Luke Riley earned his tenth win in the iconic yellow gloves this past Saturday at Cage Warriors 178.

In his first main event with the promotion where all of his pro fights have taken place, the undefeated star stopped Alexandre Junior in just over two minutes.

Riley is often his own worst critic but in his post-fight interview backstage, he was pretty satisfied with this quick night at the office.

"Yeah, finally I think. The big number 10, I think I'm finally happy so yeah, I'm not surprised. 10-0 in Cage Warriors, people in the comments, I don't know has anyone in this promotion done that before in the space of three years?"

Riley has been involved in some incredible wars during his time in Cage Warriors but this time around, it was his finishing ability that had the fans jumping out of their seats at the BEC Arena in Manchester.

"That's what we're in, we're in the entertainment business at the end of the day so that's what I do." Riley stated. "That's what gets you paid and that's what I'll always do. I'll always come in the cage and try and entertain the fans who are paying hard-working money to come and watch me and watch me online so yeah, my job is always to get in the cage and entertain."

Now, the Next Generation MMA fighter has some important decisions to make regarding his future steps.

Riley was set to compete on the current season of Dana White's Contender Series until visa issues led to him returning to Cage Warriors.

He could choose to wait for this opportunity to come back around but in the mean time, the promotion's featherweight title will be defended when the champion Harry Hardwick faces Keweny Lopes on November 23 in Newcastle.

Riley said that he isn't going to make any rash decisions at this stage though he will be watching closely at Cage Warriors 181 in case he sets his sights on securing CW gold before departing the promotion.

"I'm at the stage now there's no point in me taking no stupid fights. I'm not going to rush in. I've got myself into this position, I've earned this position. No one's put me in this, I've done it myself so I'm not going to take any daft fights. If the UFC don't come, I'll happily fight Harry. Get the money right, the venue right because me and Harry, let's be honest, probably be the biggest fight outside the UFC. That'd sell, I feel like, any venue out so if that's what's going to happen, let's make it happen. If not, UFC or whatever comes. I'm just going to wait."

There is also the possibility that after the performance that he put in on Saturday night, the UFC decide to bypass the Contender Series and give him his spot on the roster.

Riley was followed on Instagram by Dana White after the fight so he already knows that he's attracting the right kind of attention.

"Hopefully now maybe they'll just go, 'You know what, we'll just sign this kid straight now.' Obviously I'm on the radar so let's just see what happens, it's all a waiting game."
