Lewis McGrillen and Dean Garnett undoubtedly stole the show at the third PFL Europe event of the 2024 season.

The two bantamweight contenders put on a fight of the year contender where Manchester's McGrillen emerged victorious.

This particular match-up was the only major change to the card with "McGrizzla" stepping in on late notice after Garnett's original opponent withdrew.

The Manchester Top Team fighter had to battle through his fair share of adversity on route to stopping Garnett in the third round.

Both men dropped each other in some wild exchanges but ultimately, it was the 23-year old that landed the final show, face-planting his opponent with a perfectly timed shot.

McGrillen spoke in his post-fight interview about how he has a lot of respect for Garnett but this fight was about passing the torch.

"I knew Dean Garnett would be the hardest fight. I've known him since I was a kid and you know what, I got it cracking with him anyway. He's an 'ard c*** but I knew what I'm on at the end of the day. I don't want to say no disrespect to him, big up Liverpool, big up Dean Garnett, I'm the next generation coming up and I used to train with him back in the day when I was a kid and he used to always show me bits and now it's my time to shine the f****** torch."

McGrillen was joined in the cage by Alexander Luster after the fight who secured his spot in the finals by submitting Julien Pierre Lopez.

The two men faced off after an incredible battle in Glasgow before they meet again later this year in Lyon where one man will leave as the PFL Europe bantamweight champion.
