The UFC returns to Salt Lake City this Saturday night for UFC 307 where one of the biggest stars in the promotion has the chance to make history.

Light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira can set a new record for the least amount of days between three title defences if he's able to beat Khalil Rountree in the main event.

"Poatan" hasn't just been delivering incredible performances inside the Octagon, he's been doing it at an unmatched rate.

After stopping Jamahal Hill at UFC 300 and Jiří Procházka at UFC 303, he will look to beat Ronda Rousey's 189-day record by earning three defences in the space of 175 days.

The elite kickboxer will face another man that does his best work on the feet with Rountree earning this title shot off the back of a winning streak that has been defined by some vicious highlights.

He will try to pull off a major upset by entering as the #8-ranked contender and leaving with the gold.

In the co-main event of the evening, Raquel Pennington looks to defend the bantamweight title against former titleholder Julianna Peña.

The two bantamweight stalwarts have never met before inside the Octagon despite the tension that grew between them during their time on The Ultimate Fighter.

Rounding out the main card, the King of Rio is back once again as José Aldo looks to continue his momentum against Mario Bautista.

The next challenger for the winner of the co-main event will likely emerge in the clash between top contenders Kayla Harrison and Ketlen Vieira.

Kicking off the main card is a middleweight contest between fan favourite Kevin Holland and Georgia's Roman Dolidze.

The featured prelim sees Joaquin Buckley look to crack the top 10 at welterweight when he faces off with striking specialist Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson.

It's live from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City as "Poatan" looks to continue one of the most remarkable runs in UFC history.
