Shortly following the events of UFC 307 this past weekend in Salt Lake City, the official promo has arrived for the next PPV card from the MMA leader.

UFC 308 goes down at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on October 26 and is headlined by one of the biggest fights of the year.

Featherweight champion Ilia Topuria will look to continue his undefeated winning streak inside the Octagon in his first title defence.

Returning to 145-pounds is the division's former champion, one of the greatest featherweights of all time, the BMF belt holder, Max Holloway.

The promo opens with arguably the most memorable performance of the year to date that perfectly set the stage for this clash.

Holloway went up to lightweight to challenge Justin Gaethje at UFC 300 for the BMF belt in a fight that fans expected would be an absolute war between two all-action strikers.

Instead, what we got was a masterclass performance from "Blessed" who despite being moments away from winning, chose to stand and trade with Gaethje in the middle of the cage and knocked him out cold.

His next opponent, Topuria, also knows a thing or two about closing the show on his opponents in devastating style.

The champion's highlights over the likes of Jai Herbert, Josh Emmett, Bryce Mitchell and of course, his title-winning performance against Alexander Volkanovski earlier this year, follow Holloway's incredible night at UFC 300.

Topuria is one of the biggest stars that the promotion has right now with a massive fan following in Europe and after beating a champion like Volkanovski, it's clear that he is the real deal.

Holloway has always been beloved by the fans but his stock couldn't be any higher right now, making this contest a real highlight of 2024 as a whole.

The promo also has time leftover to mention the co-main event of the evening that sells itself on both men's statuses in the middleweight division.

Undefeated phenom Khamzat Chimaev hasn't been able to maintain the momentum that he was once on for several reasons but if he's able to beat a former champion in Robert Whittaker, it'll be clear that he's ready to fight for the gold.

This fight was previously set to headline the promotion's event in Riyadh this past June but was rescheduled for this card after Chimaev withdrew due to illness.

It will still be contested over five rounds as originally planned.
