The final episode of Season 8 of Dana White's Contender Series is in the books and as always, there was some great highlights at the UFC Apex.
Two quick submission finishes and three entertaining fights that went the distance capped off the season with four contracts being handed out.
In the night's featured bout, Nick Klein made quick work of Heraldo Souza by locking in a rear-naked choke after instantly taking the fight to the floor.
He secured the victory and contract after taking the fight on short notice and wasting no time at all inside the Octagon.
Luis Gurule also got his hand raised after stepping in to fill a slot on the card with little time to prepare and went to war with Nick Piccininni.
He took the fight via a split decision following a high pace and output from both men.
Yadier DelValle may have gone all three rounds with Antonio Monteiro before winning his contract but he certainly showed a finishing instinct.
The undefeated Cuban threw the kitchen sink at his Brazilian opponent but Monteiro refused to go away.
That didn't stop DelValle from putting on a show and seriously impressing Dana White and the matchmakers.
Julieta Martinez didn't earn a spot on the roster following her win but it wasn't because the UFC bosses didn't appreciate her performance.
White said that due to her being young and undersized for this weight class, they're going to help her out via the Performance Institute in Mexico to keep an eye on her development.
The opening contest saw Jonathan Micallef wrap up a first round submission over Mohamed Ado, showcasing his ability to chain together various attempts before finding the tap at just past the three-minute mark.
