The MMA leader is set to host its first PPV card of the year with UFC 311 taking place at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles this Saturday night.
There are plenty of high-profile names and match-ups on this card but January 18 is all about the two title fights that will top the card.
Despite the current wildfire tragedies in LA, it appears that dominant forces in the lightweight and bantamweight divisions are set to collide for UFC gold.
The number one pound-for-pound fighter in the sport is back in the main event as Islam Makhachev puts the lightweight title on the line in a rematch with Arman Tsarukyan.
They first met back in 2019 where in Tsarukyan's short notice UFC debut, he was able to push Makhachev more than anyone would have expected, setting them on a collision course which has led to this point.
In the co-main event, Makhachev's teammate Umar Nurmagomedov looks to take the 135-pound title from Merab Dvalishvili in a fascinating fight that has divided opinion.
The Georgian champion feels disrespected by the undefeated contender who, with his cousin Khabib Nurmagomedov in his corner, believes that this is his time to claim the top spot.
Elsewhere on the main card, former light heavyweight champions Jiří Procházka and Jamahal Hill meet for the first time in a huge bout at 205.
Renato Moicano looks to continue his lightweight winning streak when he faces fellow top 15 contender Beneil Dariush who will be trying to snap a two-fight skid.
Opening up the main card, Reinier de Ridder is out to earn his second UFC win since signing with the promotion when he takes on middleweight fan favourite Kevin Holland.
The featured prelim spot goes to Payton Talbott who looks to build on his incredible 2024 by going 4-0 inside the Octagon when he faces Brazil's Raoni Barcelos.
Top 10 heavyweight grappling specialists collide as Brazil's Jailton Almeida faces Serghei "Polar Bear" Spivac.
That's not it either with plenty more interest from top to bottom at the Intuit Dome this weekend.
This may be just the first of many PPV cards from the UFC in 2025 but we're kicking things off in strong fashion.
