Cage Warriors are once again set to return to the Italian capital on March 8 with CW 183 taking place at the PalaPellicone in Rome.

At the top of the card, Liam Gittins is set to make the trip over in order to defend his bantamweight title against Alessandro Giordano.

"Nightmare" won the vacant title that was left by Ireland's Caolan Loughran after he joined the UFC following his win over Dylan Hazan in Rome.

After beating Scotland's Reece McEwan to become the champion, the Next Generation MMA fighter successfully defended the title against Roberto Hernandez in Manchester last year.

He was then set to face Shirzad Qadrian last November but an injury forced him to withdraw the fight on short notice.

Gittins is a Cage Warriors veteran of 14 fights and is currently on a six-fight winning streak but his opponent has also been gathering some serious momentum.

Italy's Alessandro Giordano had a breakout year in 2024 after initially debuting with the promotion in 2022.

In his first two fights in the yellow gloves, he was defeated by Gittins' teammate Nathan Fletcher and his fellow Italian Enrico Di Gangi.

He turned things around by recording three consecutive wins over the past 12 months.

After stopping Sam Kelly in an incredible fight last March, he really cemented his status as a top contender in this division by beating and submitting former champion Michele Martignoni in the alternate bout for the bantamweight Prize Fighter tournament.

A split decision win over Emanuele Zaccaria in Rome capped off the best year of his career to date and now, the 27-year old will look to claim CW gold on home turf.

Cage Warriors have really established a home away from home in Italy and this card is sure to be another great instalment in their series of events in Rome.
