A huge championship bout has been pencilled in for Cage Warriors 183, which goes down at Palapellicone in Rome, Italy on March 8th.
Dario Bellandi (8-1) will look to make the second defence of his Cage Warriors middleweight belt when he faces former opponent Naglis Kanisauskas (8-3) over five rounds in the co-main event.
The pair first clashed in mid-2023, with Bellandi emerging victorious by way of unanimous decision. "Neanderthal" went on to win the title later that same year when he beat Mick Stanton at Cage Warriors 164, before successfully defending the belt by beating Robin Roos in Manchester last July.
Despite lsoing his promotional debut to Will Currie at the tail end of 2020, the Italian has gone on an impressive 6-fight winning streak since then.
Naglis Kanisauskas has bounced back well since that first meeting with Bellandi. "The Smiling Boy" returned at Cage Warriors 164 where he knocked out Chris Douglas in just 51 seconds, before going to pick up another KO win over Leon Naumann last summer.
At the top of the bill at Cage Warriors 183, bantamweight champion Liam Gittins (13-4) puts his strap on the line against surging Italian prospect Alessandro Giordano (9-3) who racked up a hat-trick of impressive wins in the famous yellow gloves throughout 2024.
Also on the card, former bantamweight contender Dylan Hazan (10-2) continues his quest to win flyweight gold as he takes on fellow Italian Michelangelo Lupoli (8-4), while unbeaten featherweight prospect Giuseppe Mastrogigiacomo (6-0) gets a step up in competition when he squares off against Aiden Lee (12-9)
