Following a busy few weeks on the road to Saudi Arabia and Australia, the world leader in MMA returned to it's home base as UFC Vegas 102 went down at the Apex on Saturday.
The main event was an all-action affair between middleweights "Killa Gorilla" Jared Cannonier and Gregory "Robocop" Rodrigues. Rodrigues started brightly, walking his opponent down and landing a succession of heavy punches in the opening round, even dropping Cannonier twice.
The veteran Cannonier weathered the storm however and imposed himself on the fight well in rounds 2 and 3, and he dropped the Brazilian in the dying seconds of the third with a stunning close-range elbow.
Rodrigues survived that attack but Cannonier was on him when round 4 kicked off, and got the finsih just 21 seconds into the round.
In the co-main event, Youssef Zalal continued his impressive winning run as he outpointed Calvin Kattar over 3 rounds, while there were finishes on the main card for Edmen Shahbazyan, Nazim Sadykhov and Jose Delgado,
