The UFC Apex in Las Vegas played host to another round of fights on Saturday night, headlined by a match-up between two top-ten featherweights.
In the main event, Lerone Murphy (16-0-1 MMA, 8-0-1 UFC) extended his winning streak inside the Octagon as he frustrated hard-hitting veteran Josh Emmett (19-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) over five rounds. Murphy called for a fight against someone who could get him closer to a featherweight title shot, and suggested former challenger Brian Ortega as one possible option while being interviewed on the post-fight show on ESPN.
Bonus Winners
There were four finishes on the card, and all four of those earned a $50,000 performance of the night bonus.
- Ireland's Rhys McKee finally earned his first UFC victory as he dropped Daniel frunza a staggering four times in the opening round of their welterweight encounter. The doctor intervened at the end of that round and stopped the fight due to the damage Frunza had absorbed.
- Ode Osbourne broke his three-fight losing skid and became the first fighter to defeat Luis Gurule when he stopped him in the second round of their flyweight clash.
- Changho Lee punished Cortavious Romious for missing weight on Friday, as the Korean moved to 2-0 inside the Octagon with a second-round stoppage.
- Dione Barbosa secured the only submission of the night in the featured bout on the prelims as she forced the tap from Diana Belbita.
