Another exciting matchup has been confirmed for UFC 316, which takes place in Newark, New Jersey, on June 7.
No. 14-ranked welterweight Vicente Luque (23-10-1 MMA, 16-6 UFC) is set to face Kevin Holland (27-13 MMA, 14-10 UFC) in a fascinating contest at the Prudential Center.
Luque will look to build on his recent first-round submission win over Themba Gorimbo at UFC 310 in December. "The Silent Assassin" had hit a rough patch prior to that victory, suffering three losses in four fights between 2022 and 2024.
The Brazilian veteran has spent more than a decade competing inside the Octagon, earning wins over notable names such as Tyron Woodley, Rafael dos Anjos, and Michael Chiesa along the way.
Standing across from Luque on June 7 will be Kevin Holland, who made a triumphant return to the welterweight division at UFC London.
“Trailblazer” earned a Performance of the Night bonus for his unanimous decision win over Gunnar Nelson at the O2 Arena and appears committed to staying at 170 pounds. Prior to that, Holland had suffered back-to-back losses to Roman Dolidze and Reinier de Ridder in the middleweight division before dropping back down for the London bout.
UFC 316 Fight Card Taking Shape
UFC 316 is set to be headlined by not one, but TWO bantamweight title fights.

Meanwhile, in the women’s bantamweight division, former PFL champion Kayla Harrison (19-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) will challenge current champ Julianna Peña (11-5 MMA, 8-3 UFC) as she looks to add the UFC title to her impressive list of accolades.
