Cage Warriors 188 took place at the RDS Arena in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday night. The sold-out Irish crowd were treated to a bumper card made up of 16 fights, including two title fights in the main and co-main event slots.
In the main event, Justin Burlinson rallied to submit champion James Sheehan in the fourth round to win the Cage Warriors welterweight title. Sheehan had dominated the fight up to that point, and was up 30-26 on all three judge's scorecards going into the fourth.
It emerged afterwards that Sheehan had broken his jaw escaping from an attempted guillotine late in round three, before Burlinson secured another to end the fight in the fourth and silence the partizan Dublin crowd.
In the co-main event, James Webb recovered from a rocky start to rally and finish UFC veteran John Allan to successfully defend his light heavyweight title.
