The UFC's first visit to Iowa in 25 years delivered plenty of exciting talking points, not least at the top of the card.
Huge statement wins for Cory Sandhagen and Reinier de Ridder in the main and co-main events lit up the Wells Fargo Arena.
Bonus Winners
Saturday night’s event wrapped up with some explosive finishes—and the promotion rewarded four standout performances with $50,000 bonuses each.
Here’s a breakdown of the fighters who cashed in with "Performance of the Night" honors:
Quang Le Gets First UFC Win in Spectacular Fashion
Quang Le (9-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) made a statement in his first UFC victory, putting Gaston Bolanos (8-5 MMA, 2-2 UFC) to sleep with a rear-naked choke in the opening round. The bantamweight clash took place on the prelims, and Le became the first man to ever submit the former Bellator competitor.
Azamat Bekoev Keeps Knockout Streak Alive
Azamat Bekoev (20-3 MMA, 2-0 UFC) is quickly justifying the UFC’s decision to sign him. In his second appearance inside the Octagon, he secured back-to-back first-round finishes by dismantling “The Ultimate Fighter” alum Ryan Loder (7-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) via TKO under three minutes into their middleweight scrap.
Reinier de Ridder Shocks Bo Nickal
Former ONE Championship double champ Reinier de Ridder (20-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) pulled off the biggest upset of the night by stopping rising star Bo Nickal (7-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) in the second round. De Ridder worked the body with precision before delivering a crushing knee that led to a TKO, earning him his first UFC performance bonus.
Cory Sandhagen Finishes Figueiredo in Main Event
In the main event, bantamweight contender Cory Sandhagen (18-5 MMA, 11-4 UFC) dismantled ex-flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo (24-5-1 MMA, 13-5-1 UFC). After a dominant first round, Sandhagen caused a leg injury in the second that led to a TKO stoppage. The win marked Sandhagen’s fifth career UFC bonus, placing him among an elite group of bantamweights.
