The first PFL Europe event of 2025 took place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Ireland on Saturday - the hometown of the promotion's superstar Paul Hughes.
"Big News" was competing for the first time since his epic showdown against Usman Nurmagomedov at the PFL Road to Dubai event in January, and buoyed by the support of a sold-out crowd, the Irishman made a massive statement by knocking out former Bellator title challenger Bruno Miranda in just 42 seconds.
In the co-main event, Manchester Top Team phenom Lewis McGrillen submitted the veteran Alan Philpott to continue his fine form. McGrillen had won the PFL European tournament in 2024 and looks a very promising prospect at 135 pounds.
The quarter-finals of the 2025 PFL Europe tournament also took place at this event. Connor Hughes, Gino van Steenis, Alexandr Chizov and Claudio Pacella all picked up wins to advance to the semi-finals stage.

- Corey McLaughlin defeated Nahom Wedi via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
