New UFC welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena has debuted on the pound-for-pound list, according to the latest UFC rankings.

Della Maddalena (18-2 MMA, 8-0 UFC) dethroned former titleholder Belal Muhammad (24-4 MMA, 15-4 UFC) in the main event at Bell Centre in Montreal on Saturday night to extend his unbeaten start to life in the UFC. The Australian defied the bookmaker’s odds to outpoint Muhammad over five rounds and now finds himself in 9th place in the UFC’s pound-for-pound rankings.

After losing his title in his first outing since he became champion by beating Leon Edwards at UFC 304 last year, Muhammad drops six places on the list and now sits in 13th spot.

Arman Tsarukyan (22-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) who fell out of his scheduled lightweight title fight against Islam Makhachev at UFC 311 in January, departs the list to make way for Della Maddalena.

Valentina Shevchenko (25-4-1 MMA, 14-3-1 UFC) who beat Manon Fiorot to retain her UFC flyweight title in Saturday’s co-main event, retains top spot in both her weight class and the women’s pound-for-pound list.

Natalia Silva (19-5-1 MMA, 7-0 UFC) moves up four places to become no. 1 contender at 125 pounds following her dominant victory over former champion Alexa Grasso on Saturday’s main card. The Brazilian also jumps five spots to no. 8 in the pound-for-pound rankings.

Jasmine Jasudavicius (14-3 UFC, 8-2 UFC) who picked up her fifth consecutive win by submitting former champion Jessica Andrade on Saturday’s preliminary card, moves up to sixth place in the flyweight standings.

Aiemann Zahabi (13-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) moves up four places to eleventh in the bantamweight rankings after his win over Jose Aldo. Aldo’s subsequent retirement sees him depart the list and he is replaced in fifteenth spot by Vinicius Oliveira.
