The official weigh-in ceremony for UFC on ABC 8 took place today at the UFC host hotel in Baku, ahead of the promotion’s debut in Azerbaijan this Saturday.
The card is set to be headlined by a massive light heavyweight matchup between former champion Jamahal Hill (12-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC) and former title challenger Khalil Rountree Jr. (13-6 MMA, 9-6 UFC).
In the co-main event, the experienced Rafael Fiziev (12-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) gets the opportumity to fight on home soil for the first time in his UFC career when he takes on the always dangerous Ignacio Bahamondes (17-5 MMA, 6-2 UFC) who has finished his last three opponents inside the Octagon in less than a round.
The main card also features the UFC debut of Tofiq Musayev (22-5). The former RIZIN star holds wins over the likes of Daron Cruikshank and Patricky Pitbull and is set to take on Krgyz brawler Myktybek Oralbai (13-2-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC).
And home fans will also relish the opportunity to watch the dangerous Nazim Sadykhov (10-1-1 MMA, 3-0-1 UFC) in the flesh when he takes on Nikolas Motta (15-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC).
All 22 fighters on the card made weight without any issue.
