A massive middleweight fight between Nassourdine Imavov and Caio Borralho is set to headline UFC Paris this September.

The bout is scheduled to be the main event when the UFC returns for its annual event at the Accor Arena in the French capital on September 6, the promotion announced on Monday.

Imavov (16-4 MMA, 8-2 UFC) had originally been lined up to weigh in as the backup fighter for the upcoming UFC 319 main event between middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev, but he recently announced that would no longer be the case.

“The Sniper” — who lives and trains in Paris — enjoyed a sensational 2024, picking up wins over Roman Dolidze, Jared Cannonier, and Brendan Allen to propel himself up the 185-pound rankings. That run earned him a high-profile matchup against Israel Adesanya in the main event at UFC Saudi Arabia in February, where he knocked out the former champion in the second round to claim the biggest win of his career.

Borralho (17-1 MMA, 7-0 UFC) also enters the fight on an impressive upward trajectory, having won all seven of his UFC bouts since emerging from Dana White’s Contender Series in 2021.

The Brazilian also had a stellar 2024, earning two Performance of the Night bonuses for his victories over Paul Craig and Jared Cannonier.
