All 24 fighters successfully hit their mark at the official weigh-ins for UFC on ABC 9 on Friday at the UFC host hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The event is set to take place at the Etihad Arena on Saturday and will be headlined by an intriguing middleweight contest between former champion Robert Whittaker (26-8 MMA, 17-6 UFC) and former ONE championship two-division champion Reinier de Ridder (20-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) who has enjoyed a sensational first year under the UFC banner.
Another former champion will be in action in the co-main event as Petr Yan (18-5 MMA, 10-4 UFC) returns to face no. 12-ranked Marcus McGhee (10-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC).
Also on the main card, fan favorite Shara Magomedov (15-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) will look to return to the win column after suffering the first defeat of his career in hi last outing. “Bullet” is set to face Canadian powerhouse Marc-Andre Barriault (17-9 MMA, 6-8 UFC).
And Peruvian standout Jose Ochoa (8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) gets a quick turnaround after his knockout win over Cody Durden at UFC Atlanta last month as he faces Asu Almabayev (21-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC).
