The UFC returns to the UFC Apex in Las Vegas for the second consecutive event this weekend, headlined by an intriguing middleweight showdown between Anthony “Fluffy” Hernandez (14-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) and Roman Dolidze (14-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC).

Let’s take a look at the main card action set for this Saturday at UFC Vegas 109.

Main Event: Roman Dolidze vs. Anthony Hernandez (Middleweight)

A pair of top-ten ranked middleweights collide in a five-round main event that could elevate the winner toward the title picture at 185 pounds. Both Dolidze and Hernandez have looked impressive of late and currently sit ninth and tenth, respectively, in the UFC middleweight rankings.

Dolidze has bounced back well from the first losing streak of his career and enters Saturday’s bout on a three-fight winning streak. “The Caucasian” earned a hard-fought victory in a five-round contest against Marvin Vettori in March and looked strong down the stretch, signaling a newfound maturity as he continues to evolve into a real threat in the division.

Hernandez, meanwhile, is riding a seven-fight win streak. The 31-year-old most recently defeated Brendan Allen via unanimous decision, but it was his fifth-round TKO of Michel Pereira at UFC Fight Night 245 in October that truly showcased his skill set. In that performance, Hernandez set new UFC middleweight records for most significant ground strikes (97) and most takedown attempts (29), while out-landing Pereira by 128 significant strikes—a new divisional record.

Co-Main Event: Steve Erceg vs. Ode Osbourne (Flyweight)

Former UFC flyweight title challenger Steve Erceg (12-4 MMA, 3-3 UFC) gets a last-minute change of opponent after Hyunsung Park was pulled to face Tatsuro Taira at the same venue last weekend.

Stepping in is Ode Osbourne (13-8 MMA, 5-6 UFC), who recently snapped a three-fight skid with a first-round finish of Luis Gurule in April—earning himself a Performance of the Night bonus in the process.

Erceg finds himself in a similar spot, having dropped three straight fights following a red-hot start to his UFC tenure.

Iasmin Lucindo vs. Angela Hill (Strawweight)

Angela Hill (18-14 MMA, 13-14 UFC) returns for her 27th UFC appearance in the strawweight division. The 40-year-old veteran is enjoying a career resurgence, with three wins in her last four outings.

Her opponent, Iasmin Lucindo (17-6 MMA, 4-2 UFC), looks to rebound after a loss to Amanda Lemos at UFC 313 earlier this year. Prior to that, she was riding a four-fight win streak.

Andre Fili vs. Christian Rodriguez (Featherweight)

Another seasoned veteran returns as Andre Fili (24-12 MMA, 12-11 UFC) takes on the always-dangerous Christian Rodriguez (12-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC). Fili has alternated wins and losses over his last 12 fights and hasn’t won two straight since 2019.

Rodriguez, meanwhile, has already competed twice this year—defeating UFC debutant Austin Bashi in January before losing a decision to Melquizael Costa in March.

Miles Johns vs. Jean Matsumoto (Bantamweight)

Fortis MMA’s Miles Johns (15-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC) makes his first appearance of 2025 as he looks to bounce back from a loss to Felipe Lima at UFC Tampa last December.

He faces Brazilian prospect Jean Matsumoto (16-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC), who suffered his first professional defeat in February at the hands of Rob Font.

Eryk Anders vs. Christian Leroy Duncan (Middleweight)

Former Cage Warriors middleweight champion Christian Leroy Duncan (11-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) opens the main card this weekend, hoping to build on his strong UFC start.

He’ll face veteran Eryk Anders (17-8 MMA, 9-8 UFC), who returns for the first time since his TKO win over former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman last December.
