The official weigh-ins took place early on Friday (and late on Thursday for North American fans) ahead of UFC Fight Night 257 which goes down at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China on Saturday.
Both Johnny Walker (21-9 MMA, 7-6 UFC) and Mingyang Zhang (19-6 MMA, 3-0 UFC) who are set to compete in the main event, hit their mark on the scale without any issue.
There was some controversy surrounding the co-main event between Brian Ortega (16-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC) and Aljamain Sterling (24-5 MMA, 16-5 UFC) after rumors began to circulate that Ortega had collapsed (and allegedly been hospitalized) leading to the bout being canceled.
In a surprise twist, both fighters showed up to weigh in and it was then revealed the fight will go ahead at a catchweight of 153 pounds.
