UFC returns to Rio de Janeiro tonight for a Fight Night event headlined by a clash of elite lightweight contenders, as former UFC champion Charles “Do Bronx” Oliveira takes on relentless Polish grinder Mateusz Gamrot.
Known for his explosive finishing ability and record-setting submission game, Oliveira looks to prove he’s still a force in the 155-pound title picture. Gamrot comes into this event on just a few weeks’ notice and riding strong momentum, and is determined to silence the Brazilian crowd and earn the biggest win of his career in enemy territory.
The co-main event features another former champion, Deiveson Figueiredo, who continues his bantamweight rise when he meets surging finisher Montel Jackson.
Also on the main card, Vicente Luque looks to ignite the Rio crowd in a welterweight showdown, and heavyweight power threatens to shake the Farmasi Arena when Jhonata Diniz collides with Mario Pinto.
