Legacy Fighting Alliance kicked off its November schedule with another trip to Brazil for LFA 221. The event took place at Ginásio Nilson Nelson in Brasília, Federal District, with fourteen bouts across the main and preliminary cards. Half of the fights went the distance, while the rest ended in spectacular finishes.
In the night’s main event, Canada’s Shannon Clark traveled to South America to defend her LFA Flyweight Championship for the second time, taking on the undefeated Bia Consuli, who was making her first appearance on an LFA main card and fighting on home soil. While Clark entered as the favorite, Consuli made it clear she wasn’t there to be a stepping stone, pushing the champion through five hard-fought rounds. In the end, all three judges sided with the Alberta native, allowing Clark to retain her title and improve her record to 7–1.
The co-main event saw Richard Martins earn a first-round TKO victory over Argemiro Delmandes after a brutal calf kick left Delmandes unable to continue. The win marked Martins’ tenth career victory and a strong rebound from his previous loss on The Ultimate Fighter 33.
Elsewhere on the main card, Reginaldo Junior showcased his grappling prowess with a third-round anaconda choke submission over Natan Mota, further cementing his reputation as one of LFA’s most dangerous finishers. Kicking off the main card, Gustavo Guilherme made a statement in his promotional debut by stopping Gustavo Sousa just 14 seconds into the first round with a devastating KO/TKO.
