After two consecutive numbered events on opposite sides of the globe, the UFC returns home this weekend to the newly named Meta Apex with a fight card headlined by a compelling stylistic matchup between ranked bantamweights Mario Bautista (16-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) and Vinicius Oliveira (23-3 MMA, 4-0 UFC).
Let’s take a look at the most mouthwatering bouts taking place at UFC Vegas 113 this Saturday:
Mario Bautista (#9) vs. Vinicius Oliveira (#11) – Bantamweight
After suffering his first defeat in more than three and a half years in his most recent outing against Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC 321 last October, Mario Bautista looks to get back on track this Saturday when he faces rising star Vinicius Oliveira in a scheduled five-round bout.
Bautista had been riding an eight-fight winning streak prior to that loss, and a victory this weekend would quickly steer the Arizona native back into contention.
Since booking his ticket to the big leagues with a win on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023, Oliveira has enjoyed a terrific start to his UFC career, quickly breaking into the bantamweight rankings. With four wins in four Octagon appearances, “Lok Dog” is currently riding the second-longest active win streak in the division, though it remains to be seen whether his marauding style will continue to succeed against the division’s elite contenders.
Amir Albazi (#6) vs. Kyoji Horiguchi (#8) – Flyweight
Amir Albazi (17-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) makes the walk to the Octagon this Saturday for the first time since suffering the first loss of his UFC career, a defeat to Brandon Moreno in November 2024. Prior to that setback, “The Prince” had opened his UFC run with five consecutive victories, including three stoppage wins.
Former Bellator and RIZIN champion Kyoji Horiguchi (35-5 MMA, 8-1 UFC) will make the second appearance of his sophomore stint with the promotion this weekend, having returned in emphatic fashion with a blistering win over Tagir Ulanbekov at UFC Qatar in November.
Horiguchi’s lone UFC loss came in a title fight against then-champion Demetrious Johnson in 2015, and with his longtime training partner Alexandre Pantoja recently dethroned by Joshua Van, the Japanese standout will have championship ambitions of his own, particularly if he can secure a statement victory over Albazi on Saturday.
Michal Oleksiejczuk vs. Marc-Andre Barriault – Middleweight
While neither Michal Oleksiejczuk (21-9 MMA, 9-7 UFC) nor Marc-Andre Barriault (17-10 MMA, 6-9 UFC) is likely to challenge for the UFC middleweight title anytime soon, both men can usually be relied upon to deliver enough violence and entertainment to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
Oleksiejczuk’s eight first-round knockout victories inside the Octagon rank him third in company history, trailing only Vitor Belfort (11) and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson (9). His recent linkup with Brazil’s renowned Fighting Nerds team has coincided with an uptick in results. The Polish striker went 2–0 in 2025 with first-round stoppage wins over Sedriques Dumas and Gerald Meerschaert and now sits at 5–4 since moving down from 205 pounds three and a half years ago.
Barriault enters the weekend in desperate need of a win, having dropped four of his last five outings. However, as a fellow knockout artist, the Canadian figures to be a willing dance partner for Oleksiejczuk when they collide on Saturday night.
