One of the biggest rematches in OKTAGON history goes down this summer!

Current middleweight champion, Kerim Engizek (24-5), will face Polish veteran, Krzysztof Jotko (29-6, 1NC), once again but this time, his belt will be on the line! This huge contest will take place at OKTAGON 91 inside Lanxess Arena, Cologne - the largest arena in Germany - on Saturday, July 11. Their rivalry ignited in January when the pair collided in the Tipsport Gamechanger tournament final and Jotko shocked the world with a quick submission victory to lift the trophy in a contest where the Turkish champion's title was not up for grabs.

Engizek entered their first meeting with an aura of invincibility as he was riding a winning streak which had lasted nearly eleven years. However, his preparations were majorly disrupted for the matchup due to a serious hand injury he was recovering from. The aforementioned loss to Jotko in front of his home fans in Düsseldorf was an unexpected blow and he was even more frustrated as he felt he wasn't able to give a proper account of himself after limited training time. In Cologne, he has the chance to prove that he remains the most dangerous man in the division now that his hand is fully healed and he isn't compromised.

Jotko has looked utterly dominant in OKTAGON since he arrived last year to participate in the European MMA Champions League pyramid. The ATT product defeated Ion Surdu, Marek Mazúch and Hojat Khajevand on his way to the final before claiming the €300,000 prize money against Engizek. On July 11, Jotko looks to earn the victory opposite Engizek for the second time, but wants to take his belt in the process to cement himself as the best middleweight in Europe.

Promoter and co-owner, Ondřej Novotný, commented on the clash: "This is a fight that makes sense from every angle. Kerim wants revenge and to clear his name in front of his home crowd in Cologne. Jotko wants to prove that his January triumph was no fluke and that he deserves to be the rightful king of the division."
