Let’s take a look at who made the biggest moves in the latest rankings update following UFC Fight Night 270 at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday night.
No Change at 145
Saturday’s main event pitted two of the featherweight division’s top contenders against each other in what was widely considered a No. 1 contender bout at 145 pounds. Movsar Evloev (20-0 MMA, 10-0 UFC) edged out UK favorite Lerone Murphy (19-1-1 MMA, 9-1-1 UFC) via majority decision, but questions remain about whether the Russian will face champion Alexander Volkanovski next, particularly with Jean Silva (17-3 MMA, 6-1 UFC) also in the mix.
Evloev retains the No. 1 spot in the latest rankings, while Murphy remains at No. 3 despite suffering the first loss of his UFC career.
MVP Rising
He may be making headlines for the wrong reasons after failing to deliver a highlight-reel moment in a lackluster win over Sam Patterson on Saturday, but former Bellator standout Michael “Venom” Page (25-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC) has moved up one spot in the updated welterweight rankings.
“MVP” now sits at No. 12, swapping places with Uros Medic.
CLD Joins the Rankings
Another fight that failed to live up to expectations on Saturday’s main card was the middleweight bout between Christian Leroy Duncan (14-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) and Roman Dolidze (15-5 MMA, 9-5 UFC).
After edging Dolidze on the judges’ scorecards, “CLD” enters the middleweight rankings at No. 12, while Dolidze drops four spots to No. 15.
Women’s P4P Shuffle
Somewhat surprisingly, there has been minor reshuffling in the women’s pound-for-pound rankings this week, despite none of the fighters competing in London. Manon Fiorot (13-2 MMA, 8-1 UFC) moves ahead of strawweight contender Mackenzie Dern (16-5 MMA, 11-5 UFC), while Tatiana Suarez (11-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC) overtakes Virna Jandiroba (22-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC) to claim the No. 10 spot.
