Missed weight. A cancelled main event. A heated clash at the weigh in. Insults thrown from both sides. Now it's personal and 'Unfinished Business' will be settled in Liberec!
Patrik Kincl (30-12, 1NC) and Dominik Humburger (12-3) will finally get their hands on each other in a highly anticipated middleweight showdown at OKTAGON 102 on Saturday, January 30. The pair were supposed to collide this past weekend in Karlovy Vary but the contest was cancelled after Humburger missed weight and Kincl declined to face him. However, they will now meet inside Home Credit Arena at the start of next year with bad blood and higher stakes now at play.
A former pound-for-pound number one in OKTAGON, Kincl has established himself as one of the most highly regarded competitors on the European MMA scene. He enjoyed a lengthy reign as middleweight champion, holding the title for close to three years while overcoming notable opponents including Karlos Vémola, Alex Lohoré and Piotr Wawrzyniak. After back-to-back defeats against Kerim Engizek and Makhmud Muradov, ‘Inspector’ bounced back in December by earning a unanimous decision over long-time rival Robert Pukač, before building further momentum in July with an emphatic submission win against Tipsport Gamechanger semi-finalist Hojat Khajevand.
For Humburger, this bout marks the biggest moment of his career so far, reflecting an impressive journey that has propelled the Czech soldier into the upper ranks of the division. Victories over ‘Pirát’ Krištofič and Mark Hulme were followed by a memorable clash with reigning champion Kerim Engizek in the Tipsport Gamechanger semifinals, a spectacular contest that earned 2025 Fight of the Year honours. Humburger then strengthened his position among the division’s leading contenders in April, securing a victory over formidable Swedish opponent, Zebastian Kadestam, in front of his home fans in Liberec to rise to third in the rankings.
