Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) crowned a new middleweight world champion on Friday night as LFA 244 took over the Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino with a 10-bout fight card.
In the main event, Jake Woodley (9-1) stopped Zayne Havener (6-3) by TKO at 4:16 of the second round to capture the vacant LFA Middleweight World Championship. Woodley, who entered the night as LFA’s fastest knockout artist on the strength of a four-second finish, needed nearly two full rounds this time but left no doubt. The win extends his streak to five straight and snaps Havener’s own five-fight run, three of which came under the LFA banner.
The co-main event was a clash of undefeated welterweights, and Thomas Blackorby (6-0) kept his perfect record intact with a unanimous decision over Devan Worth (5-1), taking all three scorecards 29-28 in a closely contested bout.
