Every bout will go ahead at tonight’s UFC Noche card, with the weigh-ins going off without a hitch.
All 20 fighters took to the scales on Friday, with every one of them hitting their contracted weight ahead of one of the biggest cards of the year.
In an event which Dana White has tipped as a ‘love letter’ to Mexico, the promotion head to The Sphere, for a sporting event, of which the likes has never been seen before.
Current Bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley came in the heavier of the two men in the main event, tipping the scales at the championship weight of 135lbs. Challenger, and number 1 contender, Merab Dvalishvili came in 1 pound under the weight, weighing 134lbs.
In the co-main event, there was only a pound separating the champion and the challenger, with former title holder, Valentina Shevchenko coming in heavier than the current Flyweight queen, Alexa Grasso. Shevchenko came in at 125lbs with Grasso weighing 124lbs.
The eagerly awaited rebooking of Brian Ortega vs. Diego Lopes looks set to go ahead with the pair hitting the scales at the identical weight of 146lbs.
Mexican natives Daniel Zellhuber and Ronaldo Rodriguez, along with their opponents Esteban Ribovics and Ode' Osbourne all also came in on weight.
The athletes who will compete in the preliminary card and the early preliminary bout all also hit the scales at the weights they needed to, to ensure all fights will go ahead.
