One of the very best submission grapplers in the world is gearing up to continue his transition into MMA as Kade Ruotolo returns to action at ONE 169.

The ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion will face Ahmed Mujtaba at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on November 8 as reported by MMA Junkie.

Ruotolo make his long awaited MMA debut at ONE 167 in June where he looked to hit the ground running against Blake Cooper.

After a feeling out process on the feet, which Kade admitted that he wasn't quite at home in, the fight went to the mat where one man was always going to have a huge advantage.

He secured the submission win in the first round and now looks to make it two-for-two when he faces Mujtaba at one of the biggest events of the year.

The lightweight contender has lost his last two fights to some of the division's toughest names in Sage Northcutt and Halil Amir.

An eight-fight veteran under the ONE Championship banner, Mujtaba is certainly a step-up for Ruotolo but he will have his work cut out for him, especially if Kade is able to get his hands on him.

The ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion was originally set to defend his title in a grappling super fight against Mikey Musumeci at ONE 168 last month.

He withdrew from the contest after needing more time to recover from his remarkable tournament win at the Craig Jones Invitational, or CJI, that further cemented his status as one of the best in the world at just 21-years old.

Now he's back to continue his new and exciting venture in MMA as we await the same career move from his twin brother Tye in the near future.
