The Braehead Arena in Glasgow, Scotland, will host Cage Warriors this Saturday evening, with a lineup of local talent set to showcase their skills in front of a packed crowd of Tartan Army supporters.

Let’s take a look at the matchups that make up the main card for Cage Warriors 187 this weekend.

Sean Clancy Jr. vs. Italo Gomes (170 pounds)

One of the hottest prospects in European MMA, Sean Clancy Jr. (6-0), is set to headline this Saturday’s event. The 22-year-old has finished every opponent he’s faced in his professional career so far, with four of those six stoppages coming in the first round.

Clancy will take on LFA veteran Italo Gomes (13-4), who has also built a reputation for securing first-round finishes. The Brazilian boasts seven submission victories and was last seen in action just over a year ago at Shooto Brasil, where he finished Damian Pinas in the opening round.

Reece McEwan vs. Weslley Maia (135 pounds)

Former bantamweight title challenger Reece McEwan (8-3) returns to action in Saturday’s co-main event as he takes on the always-exciting Weslley Maia (10-6).

McEwan had a strong start to his career in Cage Warriors, with a string of impressive performances and exciting finishes that earned him a title shot against Liam Gittins in late 2023. Although he came up short on that occasion, he’s now working his way back toward the top of the division. He delivered a vintage performance in his last outing, submitting Miguel Haro in September.

McEwan now faces one of the most entertaining fighters on the Cage Warriors roster in Maia. The London-based Brazilian has won four of his last five fights and needed less than a round to finish Alexander Loof in his most recent bout.

Chris Bungard vs. Artūrs Leisāns (160 pounds)

Fan favorite Chris Bungard (20-10) will also be in action on Saturday's card. The Scottish veteran is seeking his 17th finish in the professional ranks as he takes on Artūrs Leisāns (9-8).

Eleven of Bungard's 16 wins have come by submission, while Leisāns has been forced to tap out in his last two fights—the most recent being his Cage Warriors debut against Chasen Blair.

Aidan Stephen vs. Jordy Bakkes (140 pounds)

Aidan Stephen (10-5) is set for his 11th appearance in the iconic yellow gloves of Cage Warriors this weekend. The 33-year-old returned to action last year after a three-year hiatus from the sport and now faces a tough challenge in Jordy Bakkes (6-3-1).

The young Dutchman was submitted by rising featherweight star Nik Bagley in his last outing, but had been making waves with a string of impressive performances prior to that.

Keir Harvie vs. Alexandros Moumtzis (135 pounds)

Cage Warriors has been a successful proving ground for Keir Harvie (8-3-2). The young Scot made his promotional debut in 2021, earning a first-round submission win over Manny Akpan.

After gaining experience in a few other organizations, the 26-year-old returned to the Cage Warriors roster in April of last year, picking up back-to-back decision victories over Kaique Modesto and Rory Evans.

This Saturday, Harvie faces the undefeated Alexandros Moumtzis (8-0). The promotional newcomer has been building a strong reputation on the Greek regional circuit and now takes a step up to the European stage.

Cage Warriors 187 takes place this Saturday, April 19th, live on UFC Fight Pass.
