Irish emerald Zoe Hamilton was hand-picked by European promotion BAMMA for its Dublin debut and now she’s here to stay

Q: You were picked as a ringcard girl and started work so quickly, has it even sunk in yet?

A: Being the latest BAMMA Belle is amazing! I’m so honored, words can’t even explain. To me it’s such a huge achievement and I was super shocked to be asked but I was so glad. As an aspiring model I couldn’t ask to work for a better brand. It still hasn’t really sunk in, it probably never will to be honest.

Q: Did you ever think you’d find yourself in FO?

A: It’s absolutely crazy. Some of the world’s most beautiful ringcard girls have featured in Fighters Only and I was so happy to be asked. I hope the fans like what they see and get themselves along to a live BAMMA event.

Q: Why do you think BAMMA chose you?

A: I’ve always been a massive MMA fan and had worked on a few local events. I was just asked, no interview process, no auditions or anything like that. I guess they could just see my enthusiasm and genuine interest in the sport. I might be young but I pride myself on being a hard worker and I think BAMMA recognized that.

Q: What was it like to work your first live event in Dublin?

A: I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a little nerve wracking. To be ring-girling in front of thousands at the 3Arena, just the thought of that would scare the life out of you. But I was a lot more excited than nervous. I couldn’t wait to get out there and once I was, I loved every minute of it. The crowd was amazing.

Q: What do you like to do outside the cage?

A: Mostly work, work and more work. I do a lot of modeling and promo work so I’ve always got something going on. On the rare occasion I’m not working I just like hanging out with my mates. I enjoy hitting the town but I don’t drink. Don’t worry though, you’ll still struggle to get me off the dance floor!

Q: What are your plans for the rest of the year?

A: I don’t plan very far ahead so god only knows what I’ll be getting up to in 2016. I just want to keep working hard, help the BAMMA brand grow and generate as much interest as I can for the sport. Oh yeah, I’d like to be nominated for Fighters Only ‘Ringcard Girl of the Year’ too!
