Make your opponent pay for a failed double leg takedown with this D’arce choke

Vinny Magalhaes with Casey Milliken

Four-time world BJJ champion, 205lb fighter and instructor at Syndicate MMA in Las Vegas

1 -Vinny has a front headlock on Casey, who is defending himself in the turtle position.

2 - Vinny props up onto his toes, allowing him to change his angle and maneuver around Casey’s body.

3 -Vinny shoots his right hand under Casey’s neck to the other side of his head. From here he joins his hands with a Gable grip and clamps down on Casey’s head with his elbows.

4 - Maintaining his grips, Vinny pulls his elbows into his stomach, forcing Casey off balance and onto his side.

5 - Vinny pushes Casey’s head into his stomach with his left hand, so he can push his right arm as far past Casey’s head as possible.

6 - Vinny grabs his left bicep with his right hand to lock up the D’arce grip.

7 - Vinny falls to his left side and traps Casey’s legs with his right leg. Vinny pinches his elbows together and Casey has to tap out.
