I like your magazine, it’s one of the better MMA-related tomes. However, in issue 24 you wrote: “Greco-Roman wrestling, taught in US schools and universities.” The style of wrestling practiced in American schools is called ‘folk style’ and it’s much, much closer to freestyle wrestling. Some universities and wrestling clubs also have Greco-Roman teams on the side, but they are less common. And the Greco-Roman competitions themselves are outside the collegiate and high-school sanctioned events – they are also much less prestigious. Most of the greats in American wrestling history, such as Dan Gable and Cael Sanderson, competed internationally in freestyle and not Greco-Roman wrestling.

Ice Cool

So there’s Fighters Only, issue 20, on the magazine rack at my local bookstore and Chuck Liddell is on the cover. Being one of my favorite MMA fighters, I had to get it. But I wasn’t prepared for how in-depth the issue would be. The articles were informative, entertaining and so much more. Liddell’s interview shed more light than any other I had read and I was surprised to find many similarities to my own life. It was exactly what I needed to read. It was my first issue so I now look forward to every Fighters Only from here on out. You now have another devoted reader.
