With an MMA pro fight record of 18-6-0, Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley is showing no signs of slowing down. One of the top British fighters, he shows us just exactly what is in his kitbag. From protein drinks to iPods, Paul is always equipped and ready to go.

Boxing and MMA Gloves

Paul doesn‘t mess about when it comes to his training gear and when choosing brands, he knows what he likes. “I always use Lemarr Pro gloves (www.lemarr.com). I find that the quality is really good and the gloves are not that heavy. I find that a lot of gloves make you feel like your fists are full of concrete, but the Lemarr Pro ones are perfect for me.”

Leg Protection

“I will be using Lemarr again, however they aren’t actually in production at the moment. Right now I’m just using some old shitty cheap ones that I have lying around until I get my hands on the Lemarr ones.”

Gumshield

“I use the Shock Doctor Power Gel Ultra range. They are a really comfy fit. Right now I’m waiting on a new sponsor coming in, which means I should be changing the gum shield that I use. It will also mean that I won’t have to keep on paying for dentist moulds too!”

Clothing

Paul’s love for Lemarr fight gear and clothing is also evident here . “Again, I always go with Lemarr gear for both everyday use and during training. You’ll usually find the hooded top and the pro sweat suit in my bag at any time. I just find that the quality of their material is second to none, so I always go with them.”

Supplements

Paul prefers the slightly more natural, basic approach when it comes to training supplements. “I always go with Science in Sport (SIS) REGO nutritional drinks. I like them because they work fast and come in handy when training. It is taken after workouts to provide energy for the muscles. It comes in all sorts of flavours, but you’ll usually find the chocolate one in my kitbag. I try not to use too many supplements so the protein drinks are about all you’ll find me taking.”

Other items

As evident in a lot of fighters, Paul has a passion for music and carries his collection with him everywhere he goes.

Paul likes to keep things simple when it comes to his kitbag. “I’m not one for carrying superstitious items around with me and silly things like that. As long as I’ve got the basics and my iPod I’m good to go. When it comes to other training equipment, I always keep the Shadowboxer Pro with me (www.everlast.com). It‘s ideal for speed work and resistance training and it‘s really easy to use.”
