After winning 2016’s ‘Fight of the Year’ at the World MMA Awards, Cub Swanson must have felt he had a duty to put on the most exciting fight possible every time out. Even though he was favored to win by stoppage, he went toe-to-toe and blow-for-blow with Artem Lobov for five rounds. It might have meant his day in the office was a ittle more difficult than many predicted, but the fans in the Bridgestone Arena all went away happy, while Swanson and Lobov went home $50,000 richer.
