Paul Felder is one of the select few MMA fans to have made a comfortable transition from fighting for the UFC to commentary and vice versa.

Like colleague Daniel Cormier, Felder has balanced his brodcasting duties with his career in the cage up until now, but has indicated he could be hanging up the gloves some time soon.

“The Irish Dragon” took to Instagram to neither confirm or dispel the rumours surrounding his future, but shared a laundry list – and photos – of the different injuries he’s picked up in the Octagon over the years to explain why he is at least considering stepping away from competition.

“I get asked a lot when I’m returning or if I’m officially retired,” Felder said on Instagram. “I miss the Octagon and competing but these pictures are how I come home to a 5-year-old princess. It’s a hard job. This is why I love commentating. I get to talk about the toughest athletes on the planet.”

We last saw Felder fight Dan Hooker in the main event of UFC Auckland back in February, where he lost a close split decision to the Kiwi after 25 gruelling minutes of back-and-forth war.

In the immediate aftermath, Felder said that fight could be his last. However, the Philadelphia native later indicated that he wasn’t going to retire, telling ESPN: “I’ve got a lot left in me.”
