MISSED SEIO NAGE HIGH LEG-OVER TO JUJI GATAME:
- Jimmy (left) grips Bobby’s left lapel with his right hand, and Bobby grips Jimmy’s right lapel with his left hand. Their non- gripping hands are free but ready.
- Bobby attempts a seio nage (or shoulder throw) by twisting 180 degrees as he drops to his knees, but fails to secure Jimmy’s right arm en route.
- Immediately Jimmy attacks by setting up the juji gatame (or armbar). He begins by stepping his right leg inside Bobby’s right thigh and hooks under Bobby’s right arm with his own.
- As he begins to roll onto his left shoulder, Jimmy pulls up high with his hooking right leg, falling onto his own back with control of Bobby’s back.
- Jimmy localises Bobby’s right arm with his own (exposing it for the armbar), pushes on Bobby’s head with his left hand and swings his left leg around and over Bobby’s head.
- Having crossed his feet, Jimmy leans his upper body toward Bobby’s head to allow him to break Jimmy’s defensive grip at the wrist by hooking underneath with his left forearm.
- To finish the juji gatame, Jimmy straightens his body and pulls on Bobby’s wrist as he pushes his hips up.
