Force your opponent back and land a knockout blow with this counter combination
Rafael Cordeiro
Head coach at Kings MMA in Huntington Beach, California, teaches you masterful Muay Thai with Fernando Bettega
1: Fernando slips Rafael’s jab and simultaneously counter-punches with his own lead hand.
2: Anticipating the follow up cross from Rafael, Fernando is able to slip the punch and land a right hand of his own.
3: Rafael steps back to avoid any further punches, which puts him into Fernando’s kicking range.
4: Fernando steps forward with his right foot, briefly coming to a southpaw stance, and delivers a left leg high kick.
5: Fernando immediately returns to his orthodox stance by planting his left foot back on the mat and stepping back with his right.
PRO TIP:
To continue your combination after your kick, plant your left foot forward to set up a strike from your right hand or leg.
