Following a dominant run in ONE Friday Fights, it’s finally time for Filipino phenom Carlo Bumina-ang to move up to ONE Championship’s biggest stage.

After earning a lucrative US$100,000 contract this past May, the unbeaten star will make his main roster debut against Asa Ten Pow in bantamweight MMA action at ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs. Balart on Saturday, 3rd August, inside Bangkok, Thailand’s Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.

The 30-year-old’s run in ONE Championship’s weekly combat sports series was a resounding success.

He notched five consecutive wins and scored four finishes along the way, with the latest coming in the second round of his bout against Chayan Oorzhak at ONE Friday Fights 65 last month.

That stunning performance was enough to convince ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong that Bumina-ang deserved an opportunity to compete at the promotion’s marquee events, and he awarded him the six-figure deal.

Sitting pretty at 6-0 in his professional career, the 30-year-old powerhouse will be itching to impress when he steps into action at ONE Fight Night 24, but he’ll have to overcome stiff opposition to do so.

Meanwhile, Ten Pow has showcased his striking skills in ONE’s Muay Thai ranks over the last 18 months, and he holds wins over notable stars Han Zi Hao and Rambolek Ajalaboon in the striking art.

His outing at ONE Fight Night 24 won’t be the American’s debut on the organization’s biggest stage. But it will be his first time doing something else.

Ten Pow will make the transition to MMA when he meets Bumina-ang at the 3rd August show, and he’ll be hoping his dangerous hands and feet stand to him when he does.

This collision of knockout artists promises to be exciting, and who will come out on top is difficult to choose. Ten Pow is used to ONE’s brightest lights, but Bumina-ang is better acquainted with the rule set. So, it will be a true test of who is more comfortable when the action gets underway.
