Cage Warriors 174 has been hit with another last minute bout change, with Yannick Bahati out of his clash with James Webb.
The promotion return to the Indigo At The O2 on July 20, with an action packed 19 bout fight card which will see an interim Flyweight title on the line and crown the first Bantamweight PrizeFighter champion.
With Bahati out, Adam Bieganski will now take on the former Middleweight champion Webb, at 205lbs. The Polishman will pull on the yellow gloves for the first time, fresh off the back of a win USWM 34 back in May of this year.
The 30-year-old turned professional back in 2017 and got off to a flying start, racking up five wins in his first five contests. His first loss came in 2018, when he dropped a unanimous decision to Michal Pietrzak, before then finding himself on a two fight losing skid as he came up short against Karol Linowski 9 months later. He returned to winning lates later in 2019 with a round one stoppage against Krzysztof Pietraszek before ended up on another two fight losing streak. After exploring the bare knuckle MMA scene, Bieganski pulled the gloves back on and racking up two wins between 2020 and 2022.
He then competed twice in 2023 but failed to get his hand raised.
For Webb, the bout will see him return to the cage for the first time in a year. Last time out, Webb faced Mick Stanton for the Middleweight title but found himself on the wrong side of the result in the extremely back and forth bout. Prior to that, Webb had struggled to find consistent form, going 3-2 in his last 5. Now in a new weight division, the 34 year old could look to push on and claim Cage Warriors gold in a second weight class.
Just last week, Shaj Haque had to withdraw from his Cage Warriors Flyweight title defence against Nicolas Leblond. The Frenchman will now face Amir Malekpour for the interim title.
