The UFC have a new signing on their hands, in the form of 'The Epidemic' Jordan Vucenic.

After 5 years with Cage Warriors, in which he amassed a 9-1 record, the former Featherweight champion will make his UFC debut just 2 weeks after his last fight.

In his promotional debut, Vucenic fought the vastly more experienced and extremely dangerous, Konmon Deh and defeated the Frenchman by way of unanimous decision.

Then, in just his sixth professional fight, the Corby native took on Steve Aimable at Cage Warriors 116.

Then the fun really started for 'The Epidemic'. Himself and Paul Hughes both found themselves as potential contenders for the Featherweight champion, Morgan Charriere. They then met in a number one contender bout at Cage Warriors 119. It was a razor close contest and Vucenic got the nod, taking the contest by split decision.

This then set up his title fight against Morgan Charriere and just like the Hughes bout, it was an insanely close contest. The pair battled it out over 5 rounds, with Vucenic winning by split decision and was crowned the new Featherweight Champion.

They were then scheduled to rematch three months later but Vucenic needed to withdraw through injury. The next few months saw to top of the division bottleneck somewhat, with all three of Vucenic, Hughes and Charriere being forced out of contests with one another.

After Hughes claimed the interim belt at Cage Warriors 128, the titles were set to be unified at Cage Warriors 134 but Hughes withdrew during fight week, which led to James Hendin then taking on Vucenic.

Fight fans eventually got the bout they had been dreaming of when Vucenic and Hughes eventually met at Cage Warriors 145, in a highly anticipated rematch. It was a tough night for Vucenic as Hughes looked levels above him over the five rounds and was crowned the new Cage Warriors Featherweight champion.

Following the loss, 'The Epidemic' took almost a year away from competing but since returning, he has built a four fight win streak, with four submission wins.

His call up to the UFC came as Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady withdrew from his UFC Abu Dhabi card against Guram Kutateladze.
