Three athletes missed weight ahead of tomorrow night's UFC Fight Night card.
All 20 athletes took to the scales but for Chepe Mariscal, Danny Barlow and Chelsea Chandler, things did not go to plan as the trio came in over their contracted weight limit.
After recent shows in Manchester and vu Dhabi, the promotion return to the UFC Apex for UFC Vegas 95 on Saturday night (Augst 10).
In the main event, Marcin Tybura and Serghei Spivac will meet once more. The two first squared off back in 2020, when Tybura claimed the unanimous decision. Since then, both men have found themselves in some big contests with Tybura currently ranked 8th and Spivac 9th in the Heavyweight division.
The co-main event sees gritty veteran Damon Jackson face the up-and-coming prospect Chepe Mariscal in a Featherweight clash. As Jackson alluded too earlier in the week, he is no stranger to being matched against young rising stars but ‘The Leech’ believes he is just getting better the older he gets. Mariscal is looking at the bout as an opportunity to add another big name to his resume.
Two athletes find themselves making their promotional debuts on the main card section of the night, with Quang Le and Nikolav Veretennikov both stepping in on short notice to face Chris Guitierrez and Danny Barlow, respectively.
There may be some movement at the bottom of the Women’s Bantamweight rankings as number 12 ranked Yana Santos puts her space on the line against the 14th ranked Chelsea Chandler. The featured preliminary bout could also see movement slightly further up the rankings as Karol Rosa squares off against Pannie Kianzad.
