Former two-division ONE World Champion Aung La N Sang’s career resurgence has been a sight to behold.

The Myanmar sports legend has scored three stoppages in as many outings in ONE Championship, and he’s planning for a fourth when he meets undefeated titan Shamil Erdogan in a pivotal middleweight MMA clash at ONE 168: Denver inside Denver, Colorado’s Ball Arena on Saturday, 7th September.

Aung La N Sang has been around the block, so he knows how to judge an opponent’s game. When it comes to Erdogan, the 39-year-old superstar foresees a tough night at the office that’ll most likely go all the way to the final bell – and he’s fully ready.

“I think he’s going to dictate where the fight is going to happen, but we’re gonna fight. And it’s going to be a hard fight. It’s going to be a hard three-rounder, and I’m going to look to break his face,” he said.

“I want to make it a hard, hard fight. I want to feel every second of this. I want to feel the pain and everything. I want to make it a painful three-round fight where I finish him in the third round.”

It’s no secret that Aung La is nearing the tail-end of his decade-long career in MMA.

Despite his age, he knows he has detractors who will be hoping to see him fall in September at ONE 168. Unfortunately for them, the former two-weight ONE World Champion believes that age is just a number and that another iconic performance is inbound.

“Ten years, 20 fights, man. Put some respect on my name. But I’m excited, man,” Aung La stated.

“The best is yet to come, and I promise you that I’m not just saying that. The best is yet to come, and I’m gonna put on a banger fight.”
