Shirzad Qadrian will get his shot at Cage Warriors gold when he faces Liam Gittins at Cage Warriors 180.

The Bantamweights will meet at the Indigo at the O2 on November 15 and is the first bout announced for the card.

Qadrian booked his place in the title fight after being crown the Cage Warriors Bantamweight PrizeFighter at Cage Warriors 174. After avenging the only professional loss of his career, to Weslley Maia, in the opening round of the two fights in one night tournament, he then defeated tournament favourite Alexander Loof in the final.

After losing his promotional debut, ‘The Lion’ picked up back to back victories in the famous yellow gloves with wins against Rory Evans and Emanuele Zaccaria before entering the Cage Warriors PrizeFighter tournament.

In what will be his sixth fight with the promotion, Qadrian will be looking to get his hands on Cage Warriors gold.

After going 3-4 in his first seven fights for the promotion, Gittins eventually found consistent form and is now riding a six fight win streak.

A unanimous decision win against Edward Walls started the streak before three destructive stoppages against Faisal Malik, Rory Evans and Janne Elonen-Kulmala led to a bout against Reece McEwan for the vacant Bantamweight strap at Cage Warriors 164.

Gittins nearly claimed the title in the very first round, when he opened McEwan up with some big elbows causing the Scotsman to bleed profusely. Unable to fully recover from the injury, Gittins kept the pressure on for the duration of the 25 minutes to earn a unanimous decision win.

In his first title defence, the Next Generation athlete faced the promotionally unbeaten Roberto Hernandez. After an eventful four rounds, Gittins managed to tie up a rear naked choke and claim only his second submission victory of his career.
