Muhammad Mokaev has resigned with BRAVE CF following his departure from the UFC.

The unbeaten Flyweight first signed with BRAVE in 2020 after a lengthy amateur career which saw him go unbeaten in 23 bouts and claim several IMMAF gold medals.

Following five fights under the BRAVE banner, the UFC came calling and in 2022, Mokaev made his first walk to the UFC octagon. His promotional debut lasted less than a minute, as he ran through Cody Durden in 58 seconds.

He returned four months later against Charles Johnson and for only the third time in his career, ’The Punisher was taken to the judges scorecards but looked levels above Johnson throughout the contest and took the unanimous decision.

In his debuting year with the promotion, Mokaev competed three times and rounded the year out with a third round submission against Malcolm Gordon.

He continued to surge through the division in 2023, picking up two more stoppage wins against Jafel Filho and Tim Elliott. Now quickly become an issue for other 125lbs athletes, the impressive form of the 24 year old continued throughout 2024, when he kicked the year off with a unanimous decision win against the vastly more experienced Alex Perez before taking on Manel Kape at UFC 304.

‘The Punisher’ earned another unanimous decision and post fight, revealed that the bout was the last on his UFC contract and was hopeful that the UFC liked what they had saw from him up until that point, and would be resigning him.

However, things took a turn when UFC Dana White spoke to the media following the event. White explained that the matchmakers were not a huge fan of the top prospect and that the UFC would not be interested in resigning him.

Just over a month since his last fight, the announcement that Mokaev would be going back to BRAVE was made.

The Flyweight took to social media to announce the news, he said:

“I’m happy to announce that I signed with @bravemmaf

"I would like to thank @khaled_hamad_alkhalifa @thehawkshahid for this opportunity! @khkmma”

Speaking on resigning the young Brit, BRAVE President, Mohammad Shahid said:

‘’We would like to welcome back Muhammad Mokaev, an undefeated superstar, who is an amateur legend, with two IMMAF world titles, and someone who has proven to be the best Flyweight in the world, with no losses to his amateur or professional record. This is a very exciting time for BRAVE CF’’
