Fireworks can be expected tomorrow night as Cage Warriors return to the Braehead Arena for the second time in 2024, with Cage Warriors 176.

Ahead of the exciting card, all athletes took to the scales today, with only one competitor missing weight.

As well as many Scotsmen competing in front of a home crowd, the card will also play host to the Cage Warriors Welterweight PrizeFighter tournament.

In the first semi-final, former Cage Warriors Welterweight title challenger Omiel Brown will take on slick submission artist Henri Lintula. The second semi-final will see Frenchman, Bourama Camara face Marko Kisic.

The sole Scotsman in the tournament, Sean Clancy Jr., was drawn to compete in the reserve bout against Rafael Aronov. The winner of the reserve bout will only proceed to the final if one of the two victors in the semi-finals cannot compete in the final.

The main event will see the final two men in the tournament battle it out to become the Cage Warriors Welterweight PrizeFighter and winning a significant $50,000 prize.

The card will also feature an exciting Lightweight title fight as George Hardwick returns to the cage for the first time in over a year when he faces promotional newcomer Cristian Iorga.

Chris Bungard was almost left without a bout following the fight week withdrawal of Artūrs Leisāns but, once again, Cage Warriors matchmaker Ian Dean came to the rescue and found a tough last minute opponent in the form of Andrey Augusto. Augusto was the only man to miss, coming in at 167.8lbs for the 163lbs catchweight contest. After failing to get any closer to the contracted weight, the bout will still go ahead but the late replacement will forfeit a percentage of his purse.

Reece McEwan is back in action and extremely keen to snap the current skid he finds himself on as he squares off against Miguel Haro in a Bantamweight bout.

The other Scottish natives set to feature include Keir Harvie, Damon Donald, Jordan Stronge, Ryan Campbell, Igor Wojtas and Redgie Hingston.
